Our adoption process reflects our values of transparency, rigour and commitment to the health of our cats. Every family who adopts from Mon Chat Mouton receives personalized guidance, from the initial application through to the kitten’s arrival home. We believe a successful adoption begins long before birth.

Three options, three levels of commitment. Only the last one requires a deposit.

Just looking, no commitment.Free and without commitment: our news and upcoming litter announcements, to get to know the cattery at your own pace.
No spot is reserved here and it is rare for a kitten to be offered directly from this list: kittens are offered first to the families on the priority list.

Advance Notice List
Getting ready, letting the idea grow.Free, no deposit, no limit on how many families can join. It is the step that comes before joining the priority list.
When kittens are selected by the families holding a priority reservation, spots open up and you receive a group email notice stating how many spots are available.
Spots go to the families who are motivated and ready, who complete the priority reservation agreement and send their deposit.
Priority List
Ready — the adoption takes shape.Limited to 15 families. Signed priority reservation agreement and a deposit deducted from the price of your kitten.
You receive kitten selections according to your rank and follow our litters through member access: breeder’s notes, veterinary appointments and live 24/7 cameras in our nurseries.
Deposit valid for 12 months. You may pass your turn as often as you wish.
From the Advance Notice List to Your Kitten
The move is never automatic. Here is how the process unfolds.
How to Join
The information list takes one click, through the form at the bottom of the site. For the advance notice list, simply write to us: it is free, requires no deposit, and you will be notified as soon as spots open on the priority list. The priority list is limited to 15 families at a time: every application is reviewed individually to ensure a harmonious match between our kittens and their future family, and the spot is confirmed once the agreement is signed and the deposit received.
What Sets Our Program Apart
All our kittens leave the cattery vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and DNA tested before departure. The parents are also DNA tested and screened for HCM by echocardiography. We screen for over 200 genetic conditions to ensure the health of your future companion. Every kitten leaves with a 2-year hereditary and congenital guarantee.
